Kiev Arrival

We arrived safely in Kiev last night after close to a 24 hour journey. Our appointment with the State Department of Adoptions (SDA) is at 9:00 a.m. (2:00 a.m. EST) tomorrow, Wednesday. Our facilitator is still in the hospital and has given our case over to other members of his team. If all goes well with our SDA appointment tomorrow we will be issued a "referral" Thursday afternoon to visit Igor. The orphanage started closing down for the summer this week and all the kids were sent to camp on Monday. The plan is for us to be driven down to Igor's region on Friday, pick him from the camp, and take him back to the orphanage for a few days where we will complete the regional part of the adoption. We understand this will involve us being observed with Igor and Igor officially agreeing to us as his parents. The wifi is not working currently where we are staying, but we will try to update as able. Coffee and internet anyone? There is apparently no wifi in the village where Igor's orphanage is. The orphanage facility has some internet capabilities, but since they are in the process of shutting down for the summer we don't know if that will be available to us or not.
