IGOR

My name is Igor and I'm from Ukraine. I'm a good swimmer, enjoy bike riding, and LOVE technology. My mother abandoned me at birth so I was raised in an orphanage.

DAVE

I have been a missionary both in Canada and Russia with BCM International for 28 years and have been seconded to Russian Language Ministries  in Columbia, SC since 1999.  For 14 years I worked in children's/camping ministries with BCM and have been a jack of all trades at RLM for the last 14. (IT, Logistics,  student liason, ........ or whatever needs doing so the teachers can teach and the students can study). Because I can speak Russian (not fluently) we decided to look at adopting from a country where Russian is used.

LAURA

After college I spent two years overseas aboard the M.V. Doulos with Operation Mobilization. I've spent the past 18 years living in Columbia, SC.  Seven of those years I worked in the distance education department at Columbia International University.  I'm a survivor of Severe Aplastic Anemia through the mysterious mercy of God via a bone marrow transplant.  Dave and I have one precious little boy, David, in Heaven, who died at 7 months gestation and was stillborn, likely due to my disease.  I look forward to meeting him one day!

CHAI

My full name is Morton's Chai Latte but everyone call's me Chai for short. I was a gift to Dave and Laura a shortb while after they ost their son.  I love it here. They feed me my favorite treats. (Ok all treats are my favorite) They let me chase most cats away from the house (my favorite pass time) well that and chasing squirrels.  Igor fell in love with me when we met. It was like we were never strangers (ok they say I'm like that with everyone) but I'm looking forward to him coming sohe can throw a ball and I can fetch it overnd over and over again (my favorite things).

Mootsie

My name is Moot -see a kid's word contraction because I look like Moose Track ice cream or so I'm told.  Just a FYI I am the ruler of the home and allow only Dave and Laura the priviledge of staying here as long as they take care of my every need. I will tolerate Igor staying in the house as long as he keeps that dog busy and out of my face. A busy dog is a tired dog and a tired dog is a sleeping dog. And as we cats say "It's better to let sleeping dogs lay"
